Each time someone visits your website, your visitor copies files from our servers hosting your website to his or her local computer so the internet browser can interprete these files, and show them as content on the computer screen. The copying of such files is called downloading and causes data traffic from our servers to the client's computer. Uploading is referred to as the copying of files from your local computer to our servers, for instance when you add new content to your website. The combination of all files being exchanged between our servers and the world is what we call the data traffic - also referred to as bandwidth - which is always limited.
